The goal of this student project was to design a Public Service Announcement campaign for an organization of our choice. I chose the American Wind Energy Assocxiation (AWEA) for my campaign. We were required to create a two spread magazine layout, poster and alternative collateral piece to promote our organization. I chose a T-shirt design for my collateral piece. I designed the wind turbine illustration and took my own photos of a wind farm outside of Atlantic City, NJ.

This was a student project for the Art Director's Club of Metropolitan Washington annual student design competition, The Real Show. The three spread article, Your Genome, Yourself, written by David Howard, explores mail order genome testing and was to appear in Proto Magazine. The audience for this magazine is medical practitioners and researchers. I mixed technical illustrations with DNA and protein images and bold colors to attract interest but maintain a scientific feel.

I designed this T-shirt for a 10K run sponsored by the CASA organization in Fairfax, Virginia. The client requested the design use only the red and blue in the national CASA logo. I wanted my design to convey a child-like feel that would be fun but still consider the cause.

Both of these posters were student projects focusing on typographical elements to convey the message.

These art exhibit postcard mailers are a few examples of the pro bono print design services I provide to the Lynchburb Art Club, an art gallery in Lynchburg, Virginia.

I designed this tri-fold brochure for Amherst Veterinary Clinic in Monroe, Virgina. They wanted to use their existing logo. The purpose of the brochure was to highlight their services to existing clients and a mailer for potential new clients.

The goal of this class project was to create a detailed illustration of an automobile from a photo, demonstrating our expertise using various tools in Adobe Illustrator including the pen tool, multiple layers, and gradients.

I have experience designing professional political campaign materials including palm cards, newspaper ads, mailers and posters. I am married to a retired Commonwealth's Attorney in Virgina, which has given me hands-on experience with political campaigns.
